Portland is eclectic—where else would you find the 24-hr Church of Elvis near world-class gardens, the new microbrewery capital of the world, an impressive music and arts scene and a lovely blend of historic and modern architecture. Big-city excitement and small-town charm make Portland, Oregon, known as "the Rose City", one of the favorite destinations in the West. Come join your classmates and friends in the fabulous city of Portland.
Reunion Headquarters:
We’ll be at the charming, historic Benson Hotel, conveniently located downtown in the Free rail zone, 2 blocks from the MAX Light Rail and Portland Streetcar. The special FAHS rate is $149 per night, per room, from June 20 – 24, 2012 (+12.5% tax = $167.63 per night). Check-in is at 4 PM and Check-out is 12:00 noon. The block of rooms will be held until Friday, June 1, 2012. Reservation requests received after the “cut-off date” will be accepted on a space-available-basis only, so make reservations early! Remember, you can always cancel up to 72 hours prior to the arrival date with no penalty. Call Central Reservations at 888-523-6766 or 503-228-2000 and be sure to mention the Frankfurt American High School Reunion in order to secure the negotiated rate. Please reserve early so we know how to plan our activities.
Activities:
The Hospitality Suite will be open from 4 PM on Thursday, June 21 through 12:00 noon Sunday, June 24. We are in the process of planning scheduled activities for Wednesday through Friday nights, so look to our Yahoo Group site for more info. As we learn more, we'll post it there.
